Dear Santa Baby,

I hope it’s not too late to send you this “wish list” but, I have been busy. After the tree was up, the gifts bought and wrapped, the house decorated, the community service events completed, the local food closet helped out, the local toy drives’ barrels stuffed, the family dinners are cooked, and I am finally finished, I realized that I hadn’t sent you this request. So here we go…
Santa, I know that you are all about being nice but, can’t you be a little naughty in an effort to be nice? ALL I want for Christmas is the new Enertia Plus from Brammo, and in order to get it for me, you may have to send a team of “Special Forces Elves” (like the ones that they showed on Tim Allen’s “The Santa Clause”) and pick up the one at the Brammo headquarters in Ashland, Oregon. Just go to the website and it will tell you the address and show you pictures of the bike. Just in case, I am sending a picture of one:
Carbon CalculatorMake sure its the one that has the “+” on the body piece directly after the word “Enertia” and my preference would be the white one. Remember to bring the plug for the start button that will be on my old panels so that I can switch it out with the new panels. Once we get the pink Dorothy Robinson panels on the new Enertia Plus, we are home free!!

Now, while you are down in Ashland and the Elves are in the Brammo headquarters, if they happen to see a really hot

Order an Empulse

cafe racer looking bike called the “Empulse” and you have room on the sleigh, I know my daughter is really excited about getting her hands on one of those. Here is a picture… just in case.

You know that she has been a really good girl this year… really good! She is a full-time single mom, a full-time student going for her teaching degree, just completed her tax preparers classes in unison with her regular schooling, and cleans houses to give her daughter all the extras like band and cheerleading.
I don’t know where she finds the time or the energy. And, if she rode an Empulse, she could save money on gas by going electric!
Well, Santa… that’s the request and that’s the plan. I know that if you don’t do this for me I will have to wait till next year and I’m not sure I can. I dream about that new bikes everyday and the fact that my own little Dorothy will go from my commuter to my little cruiser. That extra 40 mile possibility gets me all giggly!! You know those sugar plums that dance around ones head… with me, its Empulses and the Enertia Plus. PLEASE, Santa… you gotta help me!!

Oh, one more thing. While you are there at the Brammo headquarters, can you see if there is one of those Brammo jackets that Harry Mallin(aka @Brammofan on twitter) got from Jackie Chan’s JCAM. He gets all the cool stuff!!

If you could leave the Brammo guys something really nice, that would be really cool. All the guys down there work really hard. I was thinking that they could have constant massages while they work or plates that hold their favorite foods and replenish themselves anytime they get hungry?? I’ll leave that to you….

Thanks Santa Baby, you’re the best…

“Dr. Dave” gives props to my little pink “Diva”….

Here is an email sent out by my field rep, “Dr Dave” Murray…

Subject: Judy LaParne’s ‘Dot’ customization paint job….

The wait is over… we now have a Pink Enertia. But the artwork Judy’s painter did to her body panels is phenomenal. This bike is destined for magazine cover art. I’ll send better pictures as I get them.

Enjoy…Dave M.

Ya know, I couldn’t agree with him more! Thank you, Dave Murray, for recognizing real art when you see it and taking great care of Dorothy. Thank you, Jason Sarratt of Hellcat Customs, for being an amazing artist and taking care of Dorothy’s body parts. Thank you, Brammo boys, for making me an exceptional ride. My little “Pink Diva” is really having a great time. So am I!! I hope Dorothy Robinson is sitting on a cloud up in heaven and smiling at us all….

An interesting bit of research about E-motorcycles…

A Quote from Exhaust Notes’ James Tate says, “The year 2016 is right around the corner, and for the many electric motorcycle manufacturers in this country and around the world, it can’t come soon enough. A new study by Pike Research says that by that time, there will be a dizzying 466 million electric motorcycles spread around the globe. Think that sounds a little fishy? Think again: The electric motorcycle business is ramping up in a big way, and the past few years have seen the birth of a number of startups dedicated to bringing EV technology to the 2-wheel world.”
I’m keeping my eye on Brammo,Inc.  This company is going to REALLY put E-motorcycles…REAL MOTORCYCLES FOR ALL YOU SKEPTICS..on the map.

Another tidbit about Brammo “the company”..

Brammo
While I am at it, let me tell you, I found something else while I was “surfing the web”. A site I visited just happened to have some info about Brammo “the company”. I wont say any more than that…. I’ll let you check it out. You can access the website here…

Dont make me do all the work for you. This is about business, so do your “do diligence”. Hey, is this deja vu?? I think I already said that once yesterday to someone…LOL

I thought you might like to hear a quote from Craig Bramscher, ““Someone asked us if we’re the Tesla [Motors Inc.] of motorcycles. I told them we’re the antithesis of Tesla,” Bramscher said. While Tesla received commitments of more than $1 billion in equity and federal loans before it went public, “we’ll do it for under $100 million.” And, I think he might just be right!

Lady Godiva on wheels…. givin you a tip! Check it out..

Brammo, Inc hits the Wall Street Journal…

As I surfed the web for some real estate business information, I ran across a story from September 23rd by The Wall Street Journal that was about the makers of my beloved electric motorcycle, Brammo, Inc.
This company has certainly made leaps and bounds in the business world.  Read the story here.  It makes the business side of my brain all bajiggidy!! Not only do they put out great motorcycles and have great customer service, they are really going to be a company to watch. And, watch is exactly what I have been doing. I can see an investment in my future…..
Front_3Q_Green 1000x667                                     From the original Enertia with a 40 mile range to the new Brammo EmpulseEmpulse with a 100 mile range, this company has really put E-bikes on the map. It just keeps getting better. Kudos, Brammo. I am one of your biggest fans!! And, a hopeful investor..

Guess where Dorothy and I went last weekend??

This last weekend, Dorothy got to get back to her roots! Yup, she went right back down to Ashland, Oregon to see the place of her birth….er, assembly…Brammo!
On Friday I loaded my beautiful little electric darling up on her trailer and we made the four-hour trip to Ashland, a lovely little town near the Oregon/ California border. The next day we traveled over to the Brammo headquarters and were given the VIP treatment! Myself, my dear friend Cindi Servante (Motoette in Forward Motion and Girlracer) and her darling niece and our favorite helicopter pilot, Devon Watkins, were shown around the place and we shot video for hours. We were even shown some top-secret things!!  I promised I wouldn’t tell so, don’t ask me. (FYI, tell ya later!!)
A special thanks goes out to Wayne Buck, Project Engineer for Brammo, for taking really good care of us while we waited. He was so patient and showed us all around the assembly part of the building and in to the design and conception areas. Another “thank you” goes out to Adrian Stewart, director of sales and marketing,  for helping organize this weekend and for showing us all the really ‘COOL’ stuff! Oh, and for the tea…he’s British!  Last but certainly not least, thank you, Craig Bramscher, for allowing us to interview and just generally “bug” you. You were so gracious.
There is much more to say so, stay tuned! We have a couple big stories to come…..

Dorothy gets a boost…

The last time “Dr Dave” came to replace the black plastic seat frame, we got to talking about the upgrades for the bikes. I am very anxious to get some upgraded batteries with a longer range. I’m sure all we Enertia owners are! Having the development of the Empulse has given us all a glance into what is to come with our Brammo motorcycles and I am anxious!
To help keep me happy while I’m waiting for new batteries to become available, my field rep, Dave Murray, came up with a little plan. He gave Dorothy a “boost”.
As Dave explained it to me, “I adjusted up the voltage boost setting in your motor controller. This is the software limitation on current allowed to flow to the motor during peak demands, (i.e. hard on the throttle). It makes the Enertia react a little quicker to rapid throttle twists.”
Let me just say that if you havent had this done, do it! Dorothy is runnin like a scared rabbit!  It takes a little off the range but, I am having so much fun that I don’t even care. Dave has promised that if it’s a problem, he can put her back to factory in no time. I would have to break his thumbs first!!
One more note, it is incredible in the curves….

A very happy Lady Godiva on wheels, taking every curve I can find!!

“Doctor Dave” saves the day; Dorothy’s booboo…

Dorothy’s “Dr. Dave”, Dave Murray, is as good as a highly educated physician. When he comes out to examine Dorothy, he goes over every inch of her with a fine tooth comb and if there is so much as a small flaw, he will find it, and he did! On the black hard plastic piece , just below the tail light, was a small crack. I hadn’t even noticed it and I do all her baths! Aww, the eye of a professional!
Dave ordered the piece and came out to promptly replace it. He doesn’t let anything go! Let me say that when I decided to purchase an electric vehicle, I not only investigated the motorcycle but, the company that made it, as well. I was so impressed with Brammo that when I saw the Enertia and was impressed with how much it looked like a “real” motorcycle, I was sold! That was before I knew that I would have my own personal field representative at my beck and call. When you factor in my lack of knowledge about EVs, I couldn’t have been happier. Dave always takes the time to let me pour over the bike and he explains what he is doing, no matter how long it takes. He listens to my suggestions and even passes them along to Brammo. In fact, they even listen! I know how hard that is to believe but, that is exactly what Brammo does. With that attitude, they can be privy to the insight of a consumer, in my case; female, and make changes that will benefit them. That is smart business….
So, here are the pictures of Dorothy gettin naked;

The last picture shows “Dr Dave” replacing the plastic piece under the tail light.

This next picture shows the batteries that keep Dorothy running;

I’m just waiting for the day that they reduce the size of the batteries in the “Empulse” that takes the motorcycle 100 miles on a single charge so “Dr Dave” can put them in Dorothy!

Lady Godiva on wheels….waitin for the 100 miles!

Dorothy is going to be so surprised….

After much waiting and anticipation, my sweeties from Hellcat Customs finally gave me a sneak peek at Dorothy’s new threads… and what an outfit she is going to have. She is going to be so surprised! I know I was..

My homage to Dorothy Robinson..with Jason’s help!

Now, I knew that Jason Sarratt was considered a master, that’s why I would have waited forever to have him do my pieces. However, I was still blown away at this. I know that he is doing the work for me out of love and that makes it all the sweeter.
Craig Bramscher, CEO of Brammo, maker of my Enertia and the upcoming Empulse, is going to be very surprised by this total make-over. Maybe he will make Dorothy a STAR!! Oh, my…

Lady Godiva on wheels, with stars in my eyes….and feeling very blessed to have friends that love me!
