Starting in New York City in 1857, women workers made a tradition of labor actions and protests on March 8. In 1910, the first International Women’s Day was celebrated on the same day. This photo shows an early Women’s Day protest.

Let us not forget that March 8th is the 100th anniversary of the “International Womens Day” so, celebrate the wonderful women in your history, your town, your life!

    It strikes me odd that ‘be nasty’ & ‘working woman’s’ day are the same date. :/ lol
